La Tête du Torraz

La Tête du Torraz

This superb summit provides a spectacular view over the Aravis mountains. The view is breathtaking, with a 360° panorama of the Mont Blanc, Beaufortain and Aravis mountains.
The summit is part of the Tour Pédestre du Pays du Mont-Blanc et des balcons de l’Arly which runs along the entire ridge.

360°

A breathtaking panorama

Accessibility

On foot, by mountain bike... or by chairlift

One has to deserve a panoramic view like this !

Given the 700m ascent to get to the top, it is better to plan to spend an entire day up there.

In winter it’s easy!
It is the highest point of the Portes du Mont-Blanc ski area and the chairlift that takes you to the top.
Those who are up for a challenge can go up on snowshoes or touring skis on the la Rose du Chapet.

The Grande Rare and Tête du Torraz chairlifts are also open in summer but not every day.
And when there is no chairlift, take on another challenge and go up on foot or mountain bike(AE)!
In any case, your efforts are sure to be rewarded!

Originality at the top

A somewhat unusual orientation table

At the top of the Tête du Torraz, find the “Pas dans la Savoie”,
a new kind of orientation table…

A panoramic table made by the artist Arthur Novat,
which will help you identify all the peaks around you!
