The 48th Festival of Traditional Baking and Professions of Times gone by

Come on over to Crest-Voland / Cohennoz for the weekend of the 6th and 7th August 2022 
Just for one weekend we go back to the olden days and rediscover the trades of yesteryear. We feast on buns and breads baked in the village’s old ovens.
An opportunity to have a good time with friends and family, all while rediscovering the village’s history.

Program

Over 2 days you will have the chance to taste the famous bread and buns baked in the village’s old ovens.
On the square of Crest-Voland and in front of the old oven at Cernix

Saturday 6th August 2022

At the Cernix from at 12:
Bocce Competition
Registrations on site from 1:00 pm

Face paint and fishing for children
Chainsaw carving in the Cernix Plaza
Shredding demo with Bibollet Company
at the Cernix water feature at 3:30 pm

Buffet and snacks from 12:00 pm
.
Musical entertainment with Cocktail des Montagnes

At Crest-Voland starting at 7:
– Small catering
Meal and dance at 8:00 pm
hosted by  Cocktail des Montagnes
followed by the CAPTIV
band.
Meals with local products:
Diot sausages with white wine from Chevallier Butcher’s
Wood-fire cooked polenta
Cheese
Ice-cream made by the local bakery

Opening of the festival

Dung bingo, bowling, darts, fishing, face painting, zephyrine, rifle shooting…

From 11:
– 11am and 3pm: Folk Dances
– 1900’s Firemen Demo
Giant Tartiflette
On the spot or to go
– Potato fritters – pancakes
-Buffet and small catering
– Old mountain jobs:
woodworking, milking cows, making butter and coffee, threshing wheat
.
– Visit of the Ainoz mill
– 6:30 pm : Tombola draw
– Evening take-away meal:
Lumberjack’s soup cooked over a wood fire with Tomme cheese (from the “3 little hearts” farm), homemade pasta and chocolate mousse (from “Pâte 2 Flo”)
Price: 10€ per person
Only available to take away, remember to bring your container.
