Comprising a majority of Sorbonne University students, notably from the Music and Musicology Department, the Sorbonne University Choir offers high-level training supervised by professionals from renowned institutions such as the Orchestre de Paris. Frédéric Pineau was musical director of the symphonic and philharmonic choirs of the COGE (Chœurs et Orchestres des Grandes Écoles) from 2012 to 2018
and professor of choral singing at the CRR in Rueil-Malmaison from 2013 to 2022. He currently directs the Maîtrise Guillaume le Conquérant at Saint-Saëns in Normandy, which is part of a vast cultural education project in rural areas, as well as the orchestra "L'Ecole
Harmonique DÉMOS" orchestra in Rouen, linked to the Poème Harmonique ensemble. He is involved in a number of socio-cultural projects run by the Philharmonie de Paris, including the recent EVE project.
